Asdee Wins Gold at International Facilitation Awards

Our community’s fantastic buy-in & support for our 5-year plan has seen us awarded a Gold International Facilitation Award. Here’s a little thank you message from our Treasurer Lorraine McElligott below.

The IAF is a participatory organisation with members in more than 65 countries. They set internationally accepted industry standards, provide accreditation, support a community of practice, advocate and educate on the power of facilitation, and embrace the diversity of facilitators.

This is the first time an international award of this kind has reached Irish soil. Asdee’s impressive execution of their community-led development plan sees them listed among 16 awardees, such as China Bank, Russian Railways, Swiss Biopharma and a leading Canadian asset management company.

Thanks again to Paul O’Raw, Brendan O’Keeffe, Hrishi Ballal & everyone who participated.

A wonderful achievement for a small rural area who had faith in the resilience and talent of the community to develop a plan to serve us all into the future. A tribute is due to those facilitators who enabled the community vision to become a reality. Well done to all.

  2. Robert Beasley says:

Just heard about Asdee’s win. Congratulations to all a great achievement. Not surprised as on the night of the launch and presentation it was very impressive. Never have I seen a better or well organised event.

  3. Theresa Coughlan says:

Congratulations well deserved. What determination and expertise can do. A lesson on what rural Ireland is capable of – the Honours go to the facilitators and Asdee Development.
