Geodesign Workshop

Firstly, thanks to Dominick Walsh for the photos of the workshop below. You can check out his work or contact him on the link here https://www.dwalshphoto.ie/

The Geodesign workshop was a great success on Saturday morning, with a wide cross-section of the community represented to put forward and discuss their plans and ideas.

The attendees split into groups focused on catering for the needs of the youth, older people, business, tourism, & the community as a whole. This was then narrowed down & prioritized by cross-group consensus after the break.

We would like to thank Hrishi Ballal for his excellent work on co-ordinating the workshop, providing us with a more concrete vision of what we are looking to develop in our 5-year & longer-term plans.

We would also like to thank Councillor Michael Foley for his attendance and discussion at the end.

The Asdee community was once again commended by plan consultants Paul O’Raw & Brendan O’Keeffe for surpassing expectations with the survey submissions beforehand and the turnout for the workshop.

Once again, thanks to everyone for their support up to now & their help on the day, with teas, coffees, sandwiches, scones, soup & other refreshments provided for all in attendance.

The final workshop will take place on Wednesday, December 4th at 8 pm. The workshop will see a draft 5-year plan presented, reviewed, and edited by those in attendance on the night, prior to the launch of the finished article in the new year.

It is vitally important that your voice is included and to attend the final workshop. More details to follow.
